Dr. Rapp and his staff have always been great with my dog Lady. On August 1, my dog was run over and near death. Dr. Rapp and his staff acted so quickly they were able to stabilize her until we could get her to the hospital in San Antonio. Thanks to them and their expertise and the good Lord we still have her. The doc listened to my concerns, addressed them, validated my concerns, and did not make me feel rushed at all. Our primary vet recommended Boerne Vet Clinic for dental cleaning citing they are one of the few, independently owned & operated clinics left in the area that he trusts. Had our first visit today with Dr. Arreola and was impressed. No pitching of medically unnecessary treatment like corporate-owned clinics do these days (Ive seen this at 7 other places we’ve been to in town throughout the years). Sound, reasonable judgement noticed. They may likely become our primary vet in the future when our current vet retires.

Our three dogs –Eliza, Robert & Javelina– have experienced their routine care at Boerne Vet Clinic for awhile now. Teeth cleaning. Shots. Checkups. And a few minor ailments. Each time, each dog, has been treated like the most beloved of pets. The professionalism combined with the personal touch and understanding goes a long way. Office staff is the same. Techs are likewise knowledgeable and kind. You can judge a good clinic by the techs and front desk. They are happy to work there for these excellent veterinarians.

I walked in cause our dog had a rash that we felt was really bad (didn’t need to schedule an appointment but we know that’s not always the case). They explained to us in detail what the rash was, how it happened, and what the treatments were gonna be and how they would help. They were ultra friendly and affordable, and were very kind to my dog as well. 10/10 would recommend to a friend!

The doctors and staff are the best I’ve ever experienced. My dog, Faith, had been to 5 vet clinics over the first 9 years we had her due to moves. At her last clinic the vet had an extremely poor bedside manner, but I continued to go there just because the location was near my home. In early January 2017, Faith’s vet called late one night to say her blood work was “weird.” I was told I needed another test the following day because it was probably cancer of some sort but she wasn’t sure. I decided to get a second opinion. A close friend recommended Dr. Rapp. Faith did indeed have cancer, but the difference in how she and I were treated was like night and day. We only had 2 visits to Boerne Vet Clinic before we had to euthanize Faith. On each visit we coincidentally were treated by 2 different vets (Dr. Rapp & Dr. Wilson) – each equally caring & respectful. One vet even gave his personal phone number in case I had questions, since we had never had to go through letting go of a pet before. The night before we were scheduled to euthanize Faith, she had a seizure. The 3rd vet, which we had not seen in person, just happened to still be at the clinic and was willing to wait and take care of Faith. Dr. Arreola and at least 2 staff members stayed over an hour after closing in order for us to drive the 20 minutes to reach the clinic, say our goodbyes to Faith, and make sure she went peacefully. We were given as much time as we needed, and everyone was kind and helpful. Even when I went to pick up Faith’s remains a couple of weeks later, they treated them with reverence. The final gesture that demonstrated this clinic’s dedication to Faith (a dog each of them only met once) was when I received a letter from Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Center stating a donation had been made in her name to support the Capper and Chris Save the Animals Fund. After our first visit to Boerne Vet Clinic, I knew I had made the right decision, and even before receiving the letter of donation I knew that any future pets we may have will only be treated at Boerne Vet Clinic.
